Get your cameras ready for a spectacular weekend at the Sunflower BalloonFest! This three-day festival is packed with thrilling activities and incredible photo opportunities. From vibrant hot air balloons floating over the Kansas landscape to a lively parade, helicopter rides, and a classic car show, there's something for everyone to capture.

Hot Air Balloon Flight Windows:

Friday, May 9th at 6:15 PM

Saturday, May 10th at 6:15 AM & 6:15 PM Stunning Glow Balloons start at 8:00 PM

Sunday, May 11th at 6:15 AM

(Weather permitting, balloons will launch from the Anthony Municipal Airport. Balloon rides are available for $300 per person, payable at the airport. Tethered rides may also be offered at a lower cost.)

Photographers' Itinerary:

Saturday, May 10th: Morning Session (6:00-7:00 AM): Capture the breathtaking sunrise balloon launch. Daytime Activities: Explore the festival’s many events, including the car show, parade, and kite festival—all perfect for dynamic, fun shots.

Evening Session (6:00-7:00 PM): Photograph the sunset balloon launch and the golden-hour magic. Stay for the spectacular Glow Balloons at 8:00 PM.

Optional Overnight:

Stay over to catch the Sunday, May 11th Morning Session (6:00-7:00 AM) for more stunning balloon photos. If enough people stay, we'll host a campfire get-together for a relaxing evening under the stars.

Camping or local accommodations are available.
