Calling all photographers and creatives—how about a fun, relaxing weekend capturing stunning shots and turning them into beautiful paintings? We’re planning a Photo & Paint Party Weekend at Cedar Bluff Lake, and you’re invited!

Photo Adventures: Explore the scenic lake area together and snap breathtaking images—golden hour, wildlife, landscapes, and more!

Paint Party: Choose one of your favorite photos (from the weekend or bring your own) and let’s paint it!

Night Photography: We will dive into some Milky Way magic and capture the stars!

We’ve found a charming venue to host this event and provide lodging for you!

The Schedule:

Friday,  July 18th 3pm Check-In at the church. We will then head to the Cedar Bluffs Lake for photographing, possible star photographing, and potluck cookout dinner with s'mores!

Saturday, July 19th will be working on painting images in the chapel.  

Sunday, July 20th we will finish up paintings and check out by 12 noon.

Food: Let's keep it simple - Everyone brings a little camping food to share!

Alcohol allowed for our KPPA hospitality. 

Lodging: Local hotels available or stay with us as a group! Limited space. Beds will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those who complete their registration payment first.

Stunning historic church has been converted into a lovely place to stay.  Beautiful stained glass windows, electric fireplace, cathedral ceiling, open floor plan and many original pieces have been repurposed for your delight.  There is a full kitchen, breakfast nook, and a dining area with seating for 12 at a long dining room table.  Full finished basement makes this a great place for large gatherings.  Sleeps up to 15 with no extra charge for guests up to 17. Want to bring your own bed?  Feel free to bring an air mattress or cot!
