We will be meeting at Leann’s Photos 413 Barclay Ave. in WaKeeney, KS. and traveling on out to Castle Rock and the Badlands after everyone has a chance to use the facilities. There are NO facilities at Castle Rock......Just rocks and western Kansas country side. We will be close to our vehicles which will be handy for food, water and gear. Below is a tentative schedule of events and directions.

I-70 to WaKeeney, KS., Take Exit 127 or 128. Turn north and go to Barclay Ave (Hwy 40). If you took exit 127-turn Right onto Barclay Ave;

You need to register if you are coming so we have a count of attendees. Register @ www.kppa.org

This is a rugged terrain, wear appropriate shoes for rocks, dirt, weeds, stickers and hiking.

10:00 Meet @ Leann’s Photos, 413 Barclay Ave., WaKeeney, KS

10:30 Head on out to Castle Rock and the Badlands

11:00-4:00 Photo shoot around Castle Rock itself and then move on into the badlands for a Tailgate Pot-Luck lunch and more photography sharing and learning. Bring your lawn chair.

Since we photographers will be needing food for energy during our hiking...and since we are having a Tailgate Pot-Luck....please feel free to bring something in the way of picnic food to share. Please contact Leann if you are bringing a food item so we can coordinate our eats. :)
